War on slugs!

However, year 3 gardening club members are undaunted: errant snails have been moved to the compost heap to help in the decomposing process and we are trialling wildlife-friendly solutions: strulch (straw mulch) to make it harder for them to reach the seedlings and copper tape which apparently gives them a tiny electrical charge causing them to retreat!
